An Emergent Curriculum For The World Language Classroom – Jim Tripp

How do we encourage ourselves and our students to freely co-create narratives, engage in conversations, and explore subjects of interest while maintaining credibility in our program? What does it mean to build a coherent infrastructure that includes planning, documentation and assessment without spending hours creating and prepping for each class? In other words, How do we do what we do and ensure students, parents and administration that quality instruction is happening? While the idea of an Emergent Curriculum may be somewhat new to the CI World Language classroom, it has strong precedent in the world of pedagogy. This session will seek to answer the questions above, while providing tools, strategies, and structure to make it a reality in your classroom.

This presentation takes place in “English 2 room” on Friday July 31st at 16:00 Paris time (CEST). To access the room, please click here to consult the visual map (restricted to registered conference attendees).
