Diane Neubauer 杜雁子 is a Mandarin Chinese teacher & fulltime PhD student at the University of Iowa. She has taught elementary, middle, & high school as well as elective & adult classes with 14 years of teaching experience. She currently teaches online part-time while working on her PhD in Foreign Language & ESL Education. She is currently the vice chair of the ACTFL (US national language teaching association) comprehension-based communicative language teaching (CCLT) Special Interest Group and frequently presents on a variety of language teaching topics. Diane is in the publication process with Cheng & Tsui on a guidebook for language teachers that includes ideas for weekly sequencing of instruction and organizing & planning teaching strategies.
