How to Write a CI Novel for True Beginners – Karen Rowan

Are you considering writing a reader for your students?  Here are the first few steps to finding the story and keeping it comprehensible and compelling.

Reducing the word count, using high frequency vocabulary, cultural sensitivity and avoiding cultural appropriation, creating story arcs and character development.  This session is appropriate for any language and will focus on beginning levels and brainstorming for story ideas.

Cliff-hangers:  Use neuroscience to end your story on a to be continued.  Learn to weave stories from problem to crisis, leaving the resolution to the mystery in an asychronous reading.
