Round Table : Preparing the Classroom for Communication – Anna Gilcher, Rachelle Adams, Jason Fritze, Michele Whaley, Tamara Galvan

The prepared classroom or “prepared environment” is Maria Montessori’s concept that the environment can be designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by the child.  Our goal as culturally responsive CI teachers is to facilitate maximum independent learning. One way to do this is to provide access to language throughout the classroom to facilitate communication. Participants will see examples of prepared classrooms and have an opportunity to create materials to use in their own spaces.

This presentation takes place in “Spanish 1 room” on Friday July 31st at 20:00 Paris time (CEST). To access the room, please click here to consult the visual map (restricted to registered conference attendees).
