Teachers as Librarians – Part Two: Read-Aloud as a Stepping Stone to Independent Reading – Cécile Lainé

We all know that reading comprehensible texts in a low anxiety setting is a major component of language acquisition. But how do we prepare our students to read books independently? This presentation will focus on the read-aloud strategy and will help World Language teachers select a book and deliver it as a read-aloud, in a way that supports their students emerging literacy skills.

This is the second of a three-part presentation. You can choose to attend one part or all three parts.

This presentation takes place in “French room” on Wednesday July 29th at 18:00 Paris time (CEST). To access the room, please click here to consult the visual map (restricted to registered conference attendees).
