Teaching for June: Students become Authors – Tamara Galvan

Design a CI year which allows your A1/A2 level students to write a personal story and create a book of short stories while meeting requirements and enhancing your class library. From story comprehension to image /movie inference to fluency writing to storyboard to final write and easy production of an online or paper class book.

Have you ever wondered how to meet that writing requirement while staying true to CI and keeping your students onboard? Here are some possibilities used and modified over a 6-year period which include training against cultural or identity bias. Examples include but are not limited to Fables, Mythology, and Indian Legends, as well as transference ideas to enable working with other subjects (Arts, Literature, History, etc.) and including heritage learners or students which have varied learning needs.

This presentation takes place in “Spanish 1 room” on Tuesday July 28th at 18:00 Paris time (CEST). To access the room, please click here to consult the visual map (restricted to registered conference attendees).
